The Beavers are in Plymouth to face newly promoted side Truro City

After storming the league last season, the White Tigers are looking to make their mark on their return to the National League South. Mel Gwinnett and his men will be hoping use their experience in the division to pick up a first win of the season.

Where They Stand

Truro had a fantastic opening victory at Bolitho Park, dispatching Welling 5-2 in a great confidence booster at the start of a tough campaign. A brace from new signing Adam Porter, along with goals from Andrew Neal, Ed Palmer and Tyler Harvey, gave City a perfect start.

In two back to back away games since, the Tigers have experienced late heartache against league favourites Yeovil, losing 2-1 late on, and a bitter defeat 3-2 at the hands of Braintree Town. With three points in three games, Truro fans will be buoyed by their teams competitiveness and ability to find the back of the net.

Hampton & Richmond come into this game following back to back draws against usual play-off contenders Chelmsford and Dartford, the latter decided by a late Dean Inman equaliser. The Beavers will be eager to get their first three points on the board today, as the away fixtures continue to come thick in fast early in the season.

Last Time Out

The last meeting between the sides took place at the Bev in the NLS back in 2019. Goals from Joseph and Sotiriou were not enough as the visitors launched a comeback to tie the game in front of 500 spectators.

Fixture History

In recorded history, there has only been ten encounters between the sides, with five of them ending in a stalemate. Truro have only beaten the Beavers on one occasion, back in 2017 under Alan Dawson in an FA Cup 4th Qualifying round game.
