BEAVERS DEFEAT TIGERS

Jordan Cheadle and Connor Kurran-Browne got off the mark to hand the Beavers a first win of the season

Hampton & Richmond went three unbeaten and added three points to the board with an excellent away performance against plucky Truro City. Victory takes Mel Gwinnett's side up to five points.

Five minutes in, great work from Seymour allowed him space to bring the ball in the box, he managed to get a cross away, but there was no one close enough to trouble the hosts. Truro fought back, with several crosses causing havoc in the away box, but neither header was put on target as the chances went to waste.

It was in the 23rd minute when Hampton & Richmond first took the lead, A corner to the back post headed goal wards by Cheadle. The TW12 side were good money for their lead, and were hopeful of getting into half time ahead, until the referee judged Luis Fernandez to have given away a penalty with an off the ball challenge. Neal converted to equalise in stoppage time.

The Beavers made a fast start in the first half, looking to regain the lead, and it only took seven minutes for Connor-Kurran-Browne to tap home into an empty net after some great work from Mason Bloomfield.

Ben Seymour came closes later in the half, when his long range effort crashed off the bar. Hampton & Richmond head to Bath City next.
