Thomas was manager Mel Gwinnett's first permanent signing as Hampton manager, joining from Barnet in January 2023. The right back, known as JT, was born in Greenwich and started out with Charlton Athletic, then Huddersfield Town, before joining Norwich City. He went on to make his Premier League debut against Manchester City on 26th July 2020, and spent a period on loan at Leyton Orient before joining Barnet in 2021, where he went on to make 27 National League appearances.
