THE BIGGEST TEST YET

THE BIGGEST TEST YET

High flying Hampton & Richmond have a chance at redemption as they face Yeovil Town at Huish Park this weekend.

A remarkable run of form in the National League South since these two last faced off at the Bev means the Beavers are now one point off second place and able to cut the deficit to league leaders Yeovil to just five points if they can produce victory. Indeed, it is the Yeovil and Hampton & Richmond managers who have stolen the limelight in the past couple of months, taking the October and November Manager of the Month award respectively.

Yeovil come into this game after the slightest of stutters in results, losing to Welling, beating Bath and drawing with Dartford in their last three. Regardless, they boast the fewest defeats, three, and the highest number of goals scored in the division, 42.

The Beavers are still in ecstasy, having dumped National League Southend out of the FA Trophy following a dramatic final ten minutes and subsequent penalty shootout. New signings Joshua Anifowose and Dominic Revan are available for selection.

In September's encounter, Hampton & Richmond were pinned back in the first half and suffered two blows of attacking quality, going in 2-0 down at the half through Jordan Stevens and Rhys Murphy. Reenergised in the second, they saw Yeovil town reduced to nine men yet were unable to earn points against the promotion candidates. Eventually losing 2-1 after a late Seymour penalty.

This matchday ten fixture saw Yeovil Town visit Beveree for a Saturday 15:00 kick off. The visitors came into the game as favourites over Hampton & Richmond after a start to the season good enough for sixth position and three points from the top of the table.

This game marks only the fourth occasion in which these sides have faced off. The very first dating back to 1988, where Steve Roger's side lost out at home in a 0-2 defeat. The Beavers are yet to earn a point when facing Yeovil, having lost all three previous games.
