ROMANS NEXT ON THE ROAD

Hampton & Richmond play their fifth successive away game against Bath City this Saturday

Mel Gwinnett will look to build on a solid start to the season by continuing to bring in the points at Twerton Park. The Beavers are yet to keep a clean sheet, but boast several tough, hardened performances away from home that will make them a worthy adversary of any team in the division.

Jerry Gill’s side will be hoping his team carry on their momentum from last Saturday. Jordan Thomas has four goals in four games, this weekend he’ll be up against... Jordan Thomas! Ben Morgan remains out with an ankle injury.

Last Time Out

Both meetings between City and Hampton & Richmond finished 1-1 last season. Scott Wilson’s first league goal for the Romans cancelled out Ruaridh Donaldson’s opener at the Beveree. In Mel Gwinnett's first month at the club in February last season, Dan Hayfield’s stunning free-kick gave Bath the lead before Connor Kurran-Browne tapped in a deserved late equaliser. It extended our unbeaten run over City to six, the Romans last enjoyed success over the South West London side in September 2019 when Tom Smith was among the goals in a 3-0 win.

Fixture History

In 19 occasions between the sides, the Beavers hold favour with nine wins and five defeats. Our worst run came between 2018 and 2019 when we lost four successive games an drew another without scoring a single goal. The highest scoring fixture saw a crushing 4-0 home win for Hampton & Richmond with goals from Inman, Miller-Rodney and Robinson.
