Central midfielder Josh Anifowose has signed for Hampton & Richmond on a permanent basis. The 19-year old comes in having spent the first half of the season at Dover Athletic.

Born in Lambeth, Josh started his career in the Fulham academy, before moving to Oxford United at the age of 17, making his first team debut in the EFL Trophy against Cambridge United. After a loan spell at Isthmian South Central club Tooting & Mitcham, he left the U's in 2022.

After joining Dover, Josh quickly became a fan favourite as a tenacious central midfielder with an eye for a forward pass. With a strong start to NLS life, Josh is looking to push on under Mel Gwinnett.

Having put pen to paper, Josh told us "I'm very excited to contribute to a winning team, as soon as Mel told me about the vision he had for the club, I knew it's where I wanted to come."

His new manager, Mel Gwinnett, said "I'm delighted to get this one over the line, Josh has real quality that will improve us as a side."
