INMAN SUSPENDED FOR VISIT OF MAIDSTONE

INMAN SUSPENDED FOR VISIT OF MAIDSTONE

The Beavers will be without defensive stalwart Dean Inman as Mel Gwinnett hopes to get back to winning ways and stretch the TW12 sides unbeaten run to eight.

A solid point on the road at Tonbridge on Tuesday night kept Hampton & Richmond deep amongst the play-off positions, with games in hand on the teams around them. The result means that we are unbeaten in seven, having picked up 19 points from a possible 21 since beating Havant & Waterlooville 1-2 away from home. Even more encouragingly, the Beavers have lost just one of their five home games this season, having won the other four. Fans will be hoping that Beveree will continue to be a fortress as another play-off hopeful in Maidstone comes to Hampton village.

Maidstone have remained steady and hard to beat all season, only losing on two occasions. The only other side in the division to equal that record is league leaders Yeovil Town. Sitting in fifth on 27 points, Maidstone have won two and drawn three of their last five. Most recently, they defeated Eastbourne Borough 2-0 at home. They have conceded just 0.87 goals per game, compared to Hampton & Richmond's 1.41 conceded. Manager George Elokobi has certainly made his side difficult to beat.

The last time these teams faced off, the visitors were having a promotion party. On the final day of the season, David Fisher opened the scoring for the Beavers before Maidstone took control and secured a 2-1 win in 2022. historically, from ten meetings, Hampton & Richmond have won three, whilst losing six.
