COMPREHENSIVE VICTORY AT BEVEREE

COMPREHENSIVE VICTORY AT BEVEREE

Hampton & Richmond made it three league games unbeaten, as they secured a comfortable victory over struggling Havant & Waterlooville.
The first opportunity came from a wonderful cross by Stanley, who found the head of Jake McCarthy, and he forced Adam Desbois to make a superb save at his right post.
Jack Jebb had an opportunity from a free-kick, which was well hit, however Desbois was able to match the attempt.
Just before the half an hour stage, Jake Gray played an excellent cross, which found Tope Fadahunsi, who was able to keep his composure and put the ball past Worner.
The Beavers wanted more goals, as Tope Fadahunsi had two great opportunities to add to his tally however, Worner made two sharp stops to keep the scoreline the same.
Jack Jebb almost equalised for the Hawks, after his volley from the edge of the eighteen-yard box narrowly went wide of the goal.
A few minutes to go before the interval, Sam Deadfield let fly with a powerful shot almost causing some issues for Worner.
A huge chance came for the away side, as Seager lofted a cross towards the back post which found Brandon Willson, but Desbois somehow managed to save the header.
The lead was doubled for the home side when Charlie O'Connell scored a fantastic long-range effort that found the bottom-left corner to get his first-ever goal for Hampton & Richmond.
Another chance came for the hosts with O'Connell finding Ben Seymour with a cross, but Ross Worner managed to push the shot over the bar.
The opportunities kept coming as Ruaridh Donaldson found Gray at the back post, but his shot just went wide of the net.
Moments later, Luis Fernandez nodded the ball down for Brown, but his shot hit the bar from less than ten yards out
Ruaridh Donaldson threaded a simple but effective pass to Jake Gray but the captain could not get the ball past Ross Worner.
The scoreline ended with Hampton & Richmond getting the victory, and staying in the playoff positions, while Havant & Waterlooville sit second from the bottom.
The Beavers will now travel to St Albans to play in a massive match in the promotion race.
The next game at the Beveree Stadium is next Tuesday when Eastbourne Borough make the trip to TW12.
