BEAVERS LOOKING TO GET BACK TO WINNING WAYS

Hampton & Richmond head to the London Borough of Bexley looking to pick up their second league win of 2024. A tight game on the weekend ended in narrow defeat to Chelmsford City at the Bev, so Mel and his players will be looking to bounce back away from home as the fixtures continue to pile in.

Today's opponents sit in 22nd place on 24 points, having just parted company with manager Danny Bloor. United have been quick to appoint Rod Stringer as his successor, who is believed to have been in and around the club for a short period prior. Stringer brings a wealth of National League and non-league experience, having gained promotions with Aveley and Braintree. Welling fans will no doubt be hoping for a quick new manager bounce to follow up their win over Hemel Hempstead on the weekend and strengthen their survival hopes.

In TW12, Hamrich remain in sixth place, having played two, and in some cases three, games less than those above them. Our last win coming on New Year's Day against Slough Town, as well as FA Trophy passage after a shoot-out victory at Hartlepool.

Upon our last visit to Park View Road, the Beavers had just secured safety in the division, and so Mel Gwinnett fielded a more experimental team of fringe and trial players. Despite a competitive start, the inexperienced XI eventually succumbed to a 3-0 defeat.

Historically, the teams have lined up against each other some 23 times. All but one of these have been in the National League South. The very first encounter took place in 1992, when Hamrich were under the command of Mark Fewings. In total, the Beavers have won on 10 occasions, losing 8.
