BEAVERS BACK IN LEAGUE ACTION AT CHIPPENHAM

Hampton & Richmond return to league action for the first time in two weeks in an away trip to Chippenham Town. The TW12 side’s last league outing came in a 5-2 crushing of Maidstone at the Bev. A postponed midweek game against St Albans has meant the Beavers have had a mini break from league football. Last weekend they dispatched Cray Valley 5-1 away from home in the FA Trophy, setting up a 3rd round trip to National League side Southend in December.

Chippenham look to be slowly turning a corner in their season, going on an unbeaten run, picking up two wins and three draws in their last five. They move themselves up into 13th. Most recently, in midweek, they secured a hard fought point against runaway league leaders Yeovil Town.

Last season saw little to separate the two teams. A Tommy Block goal was enough to see the Beavers over the line at the Bev, whilst a Dean Inman header was not enough at Hardenhuish Park, with the hosts coming back to win 2-1 at the back end of last season.

Sam Deadfield misses out this afternoon through illness. Alex Solomon recently completed a loan move to Wingate & Finchley, and so will not be available for selection.
