BEAVERS AWAY IN FIRST LEG OF DOUBLE HEADER

Hampton & Richmond travel to Slough Town on Boxing Day in National League South, in a huge clash between two of the most in-form teams in the league.

Slough, who looked to be relegation candidates just a few weeks ago, have made a remarkable turnaround, winning four of their last five and unbeaten in eleven games at home. The Rebels have certainly made Arbour Park a fortress this season, and it's helped to propel them up to 16th, just six points off of the final play-off position.

Hampton & Richmond made it 15 unbeaten on Saturday, beating Weston-Super-Mare 2-1 at home, with Ben Seymour picking up another two goals to take his season total to 12. With both teams carrying long unbeaten runs into this game, the tension will certainly be high from the off.

The last time we faced the Rebels, It was Mel Gwinnett's first home game in charge. Still deep in relegation trouble, the Beavers succumbed to a 0-1 defeat, courtesy of former loanee Francis Amartey. 

The two sides have faced off 30 times since 1972, with tomorrow's hosts certainly enjoying the rub of the green. Slough have won 13 of those encounters, losing just eight, The last victory for the Beavers coming at the end of the 21/22 season, when a Donaldson double and a goal from Leo Hamblin set the TW12 side up for a 3-1 victory in front of 1300 at the Bev.
